Red Sky: beneath the red arch of Ratchaprasong
A restaurant and a bar at the top of the Centara Grand
The Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld towers over Ratchaprasong, the big shopping district in central Bangkok. At its top, Red Sky can be spotted from afar thanks to its large metal arch, lit up in red after dark. The restaurant occupies the 55th floor, both indoors and on the terrace, while the bar is one level higher, on the 56th.
The view takes in the entire city: the towers of Silom and Sukhumvit, as far as Victory Monument, and the horizon well beyond. Sunset draws big crowds, and the place is popular with couples for a romantic dinner for two.
European cuisine and creative cocktails
At the restaurant, chef Luca Russo serves European cuisine built around imported meats and seafood, with a long wine list. At the bar, you nibble on small plates while sipping original cocktails, such as the Thai tea negroni or the Thai tea gin and tonic; expect to pay around 550 baht per cocktail, plus service and tax. A halal menu is also available.

The bar on the 56th floor is open daily from 4pm to 1am (last orders at 12:45am), and the restaurant on the 55th from 5pm to 1am (last orders at 11:30pm). The bar works without reservations and with no entry fee; for the restaurant, book online or on +66 2 100 6255. Smart casual dress: no shorts, sandals or sportswear for men. The bar has around 120 open-air seats. The hotel is part of the CentralWorld complex, accessible by BTS.
