Mariatrifulca: the Guadalquivir as a backdrop
A former landing stage at the foot of the Triana Bridge
On the Triana side, where the Isabel II Bridge meets Plaza del Altozano, Mariatrifulca has moved into a 1922 building that once served as a station for the steamboats linking Seville to Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The house has several spaces: a bar counter where you can eat tapas without booking, an indoor lounge that houses the wine cellar and, right at the top, the Mirador, made up of two terraces on different levels.
From these terraces, the view runs along the river towards the Giralda and the Cathedral, the Torre del Oro, the Maestranza bullring and the Torre Sevilla, while the Triana Bridge passes just below. At sunset, the light on the water and on the houses of calle Betis is what gives the place all its charm.
Market cuisine and seafood
The menu pays tribute to the river and the sea: fish, seafood and bluefin tuna take centre stage, alongside rice dishes, meats and a torrija for dessert. The bar counter offers a tapas menu with no reservations. For drinks, cocktails cost around €12, with spritzes, vermouths and a long list of gins. A private space by the water hosts events.
Practical information
Open every day, from noon to 1am Sunday to Thursday and until 2am on Friday and Saturday. The Mirador terraces can be booked online or by phone, with a 10% supplement on menu prices; in bad weather, these bookings are cancelled with no transfer indoors.
