The Hotel Indigo Madrid Gran Vía occupies an eleven-storey building on Calle de Silva, a few metres from the Gran Vía. The roof is home to the Sky Lounge, La Terraza del Índigo. Facing west, the terrace is a good vantage point for sunsets, and the view goes all the way round the city, from the rooftops of the centre to the Casa de Campo and the Sierra de Madrid. In summer, an infinity pool with a glass wall lets you swim facing the Gran Vía; it is reserved for hotel guests.

Cocktails, grilled meats and brunch

The drinks list lines up spritzes and classics at €13 or €14: Aperol Spritz, mojito, margarita, negroni, espresso martini, pisco sour or a mezcal Paloma, along with mocktails and smoothies. The kitchen, open from 2pm to 11pm, offers chicharrones and guacamole, Iberian ham croquettes, hand-carved acorn-fed ham (€30), a smash burger of aged beef (€20), grilled octopus or a one-kilo rib steak to share. On weekdays, a set lunch menu is served from 1.30pm to 4pm for €28; on Sundays, the "Domingos a la brasa" formula brings together starters, grilled meats, dessert and a drink for €40. A €32.50 brunch is also served on the roof.

Practical information

Open daily from 12pm to 1am, with hours that may change with the season. Entry is free and you do not need to be staying at the hotel; minors are admitted with an adult. The terrace stays open in winter thanks to heaters. Tables can be booked for up to four people; for larger groups, as well as to hire the roof for a party or corporate event, contact the events department.
