Serras Rooftop: Port Vell at your feet
A roof steeped in history facing the port
The five-star Serras hotel occupies a building on Passeig de Colom, on the edge of the Gothic Quarter and facing Port Vell. On the sixth floor, its rooftop terrace serves as an open-air dining room for the Informal restaurant: wooden deck, greenery, low lounge seating, a cocktail bar and a small pool. It was in a studio at the top of this building that Pablo Picasso, who had arrived in Barcelona as a teenager, painted his first canvases in the city; the original window, restored, can still be seen on the rooftop.
Sailing boats and the sea as a backdrop
From the terrace, the view takes in the boats moored in Port Vell, Barceloneta and the Mediterranean, while the rooftops of the Gothic Quarter stand out behind. Lunch is a calm affair; at sunset, a chill-out, musical atmosphere takes over.
Market cuisine and signature cocktails
The rooftop menu, served from 12.30pm to 10.30pm, follows the spirit of Informal: anchovy gilda, coca with tomato, patatas bravas at €8.50, Iberian ham croquettes, Caesar salad, huevos rotos with prawns, steak tartare, smash burger or oxtail cannelloni at €36. At the bar, classic cocktails cost €16, house creations €18 and spritzes €12; a low- or no-alcohol selection is available at €12 to €16. The terrace can also be booked privately for celebrations and events.

The rooftop is open every day from 12.30pm to 11pm; tables can be booked online. The pool is reserved for hotel guests. Barceloneta metro (line L4) or Drassanes (line L3).
