Barcelona from Tibidabo to Montjuïc

The Majestic Hotel & Spa occupies numbers 68-70 of Passeig de Gràcia, the grand avenue of the Eixample. Its roof, on the 10th floor, is home to La Dolce Vitae, at once a bar, a restaurant and a terrace. The view takes in the city from Tibidabo to Montjuïc: the Sagrada Família stands out clearly above the rooftops of the Eixample, along with the Torre Glòries, Casa Batlló and, in the distance, the Mediterranean. A small pool also sits on the terrace; it is reserved for hotel guests.

Mediterranean food and signature cocktails

The rooftop's cuisine is Mediterranean, with dishes to share: acorn-fed Iberian ham (€28), Palamós prawn croquettes (€16), Balfegó red tuna tartare (€24), a trio of ceviches or cochinita pibil tacos. To follow, an Angus burger (€28), fish of the day or a club sandwich with caviar. The signature cocktails are all €23, such as the Sogno di Capri, with rum, passion fruit and cava, or the Passione Italiana, with Aperol and Campari. For wine, there are Catalan cavas, Spanish and French wines, wine by the glass from €12 and champagnes. In the morning, breakfast is also served facing the view.

Sunset Sessions in summer

In summer, the Majestic Sunset Sessions bring in DJs every evening. On weekdays the atmosphere stays rather lounge-like; at weekends the terrace is livelier and busier.

Practical information

Open every day, all year round. In the warmer months, the terrace runs from 8am to 1.30am; hours are shorter in autumn and winter. Bookings are only taken for breakfast, lunch or dinner; for just a drink, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and it gets very busy in summer as well as during the Sant Jordi and La Mercè festivities.
