Bonavista: a retro rooftop facing Montjuïc
1970s Miami on the roof of the Moxy
Opened in summer 2025 on the roof of the Moxy Barcelona hotel, in the Hostafrancs neighbourhood, Bonavista is run by the Barcelona-based group Grup Confiteria. The lift takes you up to the tenth floor, where the Pichiglas studio has designed more than 500 m² in bold colours: a restaurant in yellow tones, a terrace striped in red and white, and a cocktail bar with a vintage American feel. At its launch, the venue also announced a mini golf course with obstacles inspired by Barcelona icons and a curling lane.
Views of Montjuïc
From the terrace, the eye is drawn towards Montjuïc hill and its fountains, above the rooftops of Sants and Hostafrancs. Sunset remains the highlight, but the venue operates all year round, from sunny winter lunches to summer evenings.
Sharing dishes and affordable cocktails
The Mediterranean menu lends itself to sharing: Iberian ham croquettes, Andalusian-style squid, crab taco, salads, Cuban sandwiches, grilled octopus, mariscada for two or a 500 g beef rib. At weekends, a brunch features eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros, pancakes and avocado toast. Signature cocktails cost €9 to €11. Every Wednesday, the Jazz Nights bring musicians up to the terrace.
Practical information
Bonavista is open Monday to Friday from 5pm to midnight, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to midnight. Bookings online or by phone. Sants Estació railway and metro station (lines L3 and L5) is a few minutes' walk away.
A colourful, affordable spot for a high-rise aperitif on the Sants side of town.
