Terraço Editorial: Portuguese wines and views over the Baixa
At the top of the Pollux, right in the Baixa
On Rua dos Fanqueiros, a few steps from Praça da Figueira, the Pollux store building hides Terraço Editorial on its eighth and top floor. The venue presents itself as a restaurant, rooftop, bar and petiscaria all at once, in a large, bright room lined with picture windows and shelves of bottles.
From the dining room and the terrace, the view sweeps over the rooftops of the Baixa: the Santa Justa Lift, the ruins of the Carmo Convent, the Tagus and, further away, the hills of Amoreiras. On the other side, the castle hill stands out above the rooftops.
A library of 190 wines and Portuguese cuisine
The venue sees itself as a haven of wine culture: a library of around 190 labels, mostly from small producers, with glasses from €4.50 to €6.20. In the kitchen, chef Rui Rebelo showcases Portuguese and seasonal produce, as petiscos, main dishes or at brunch.
Tastings with small producers, wine quiz nights and other wine events punctuate the house calendar.
