Zoku Rooftop: a garden in the sky in the Weesperbuurt
A green rooftop open to everyone
Zoku is a hybrid kind of hotel, somewhere between apartments, coworking spaces and meeting places. On the 6th floor of its building on the Weesperstraat, east of the centre, the roof has been turned into a garden: glass greenhouses, herb planters, lavender beds, hammocks and a wooden terrace. The rooftop bar is open to everyone, not just residents.
From the terrace, the view stretches over the neighbourhood’s buildings towards the rooftops and church towers of the centre; the sunset draws crowds as soon as the weather turns fine.
The Living Kitchen and Kindred Spirits
The Living Kitchen restaurant serves seasonal cuisine based on local produce, with a Mediterranean touch: breakfast, weekday lunch, weekend brunch, afternoon bites and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. At the Kindred Spirits bar, you can order cocktails, wines and craft drinks; every day from 5pm to 6pm, gin and tonic is on happy hour.
Concerts, events and coworking
The rooftop regularly hosts concerts, open mics, jam sessions and themed nights. During the day, you can also buy a coworking pass there. A private terrace can be rented for parties and events.
