Nomad: on the rooftops of Spice Square
A former carpet shop
Nomad occupies a former four-storey carpet shop on the edge of Rahba Kedima, Spice Square, right in the heart of the souks. The colourful, contemporary decor keeps the memory of the place alive with its cushions and wool rugs. Right at the top, two stacked terraces, under parasols, look out over the rooftops of the medina and, in the distance, the Atlas Mountains.
Reinvented Moroccan cuisine
The menu relies on fresh, local and seasonal produce, ranging from traditional recipes brought up to date to international dishes with a Moroccan accent: harissa calamari, Agadir sardine kefta, roasted cauliflower with dukkah, lamb confit cooked for five hours or a homemade burger. Allow 80 to 160 dirhams for a starter, 130 to 240 dirhams for a main course and 70 to 95 dirhams for a dessert; a 9% service charge is added to the bill. Many dishes are vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free.
An alcohol-free venue
Nomad does not serve alcohol. Here you can drink freshly squeezed juices (35 to 45 dirhams), green tea with mint and herbs, herbal infusions, coffee roasted in Marrakech, cold brew or alcohol-free beer. Sunset over Spice Square is the most sought-after time slot.
