MK Rooftop: cocktails and sunset over the Koutoubia
The roof of Maison MK
MK Rooftop crowns Maison MK, a boutique hotel in the medina, in the alleys of Mouassine, a few hundred metres north-west of Jemaa el-Fna square. The terrace unfolds over several levels that mix restaurant tables, lounge sofas and a bar, under shade sails and openwork lanterns. From the railing, the view takes in the whole city: the rooftops of the medina, the nearby minaret of the Koutoubia and the Dar el Bacha palace.
Between France, Morocco and the Mediterranean
The cuisine combines tapas for sharing and more elaborate plates of French, Moroccan and Mediterranean inspiration. At the bar, classic cocktails sit alongside house creations, with a selection of French wines, champagne and spirits: alcohol is served.
From lunch into the night
You can drop by for lunch in the sun as well as for a long evening: the rooftop stays open until 2am. The most sought-after moment remains sunset, when the sky blazes behind the Koutoubia. It can also be booked to celebrate an occasion.
Practical information
Open every day from noon to 2am. Online booking via the website or on +212 7 02 08 45 55. Free Wi-Fi. Casual dress. Cars cannot enter the medina: you finish on foot, for example from Jemaa el-Fna.
