Sagra Rooftop Restaurant: the lagoon in 360°
An island in the lagoon
South of Giudecca, Isola delle Rose is a private island occupied by the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa and its large wooded park. On the fourth floor of the main building, Sagra Rooftop Restaurant features a decor in shades of blue, between sky and water, with a bright dining room, a bar counter with blue patterns and a vast terrace furnished with banquettes and parasols. Next door, Sagra Poolside plays the cocktail bar card beside the rooftop pool.
Venice on the horizon
The view takes in the island's park, the lagoon and, beyond the water, the skyline of the historic centre with St Mark's Campanile, the Doge's Palace and the domes of the churches. Sunset over the lagoon is the highlight of the evening.
A gourmet journey through Italy
The name evokes Italy's popular festivals. Under executive chef Raffaele Lotto, the menu travels through the regions, from Piedmont to the coasts of the South, with vegetables from the resort's kitchen garden: prawn carpaccio, agnolotti del plin, fish, grilled meats. Expect €28 to €50 for a pasta dish or a main course. In the afternoon, a menu of sandwiches, salads and pinse takes over. At aperitivo time, signature cocktails and cicchetti; on Sundays, a DJ livens up the terrace from 6pm to 10pm. The venue can be booked privately for events.
Practical information
The resort is seasonal: closed in winter, it reopened in March 2026 for the season. During the season, the restaurant serves lunch from noon to 3pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, with an all-day menu from 11am to 6.30pm. A free shuttle leaves every 30 minutes from the San Marco-Giardini Reali pier, for a crossing of about twenty minutes. Booking online or by phone.
