At the top of a former mill

At the western tip of the island of Giudecca, the great brick silhouette of the Molino Stucky, a former flour mill turned into the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice hotel, towers over the canal. Its eighth floor is home to Skyline Rooftop Bar, a cocktail bar open to hotel guests and visitors alike. Revamped in spring 2025, it combines a brightly coloured indoor room and a long terrace sheltered by a pergola, with high tables, banquettes and armchairs facing the city.

A panorama over the historic centre

Across the Giudecca Canal stretch the Zattere quays and the rooftops of Dorsoduro, punctuated by the dome of the Salute, St Mark's Campanile and, further east, the church of San Giorgio Maggiore. At sunset, the sky blazes above the lagoon: this is the most sought-after moment.

Cocktails in the colours of Venice

The signature menu explores six colours inspired by the city in several versions, from the lightest to the strongest, each time with an alcohol-free option. Expect €23 to €24 for a house creation, €20 to €22 for a classic and €18 for a spritz. On the food side, cicchetti, focaccia, beetroot hummus or guacamole accompany the aperitivo. The bar also hosts special nights, such as bartender exchanges during Venice Cocktail Week, and can be booked privately for events. The neighbouring pool is reserved for hotel guests.

Practical information

The bar is open every day from 4pm to 1am, with a small savoury menu until midnight; exceptional closures are announced on its website. Booking online is recommended for a table at sunset. To get there, the vaporetto stops at Palanca (lines 2 and 4.1/4.2), 500 metres from the hotel, or you can take the hotel shuttle from St Mark's, which is also open to customers of its bars and restaurants.
