Dolli's Rooftop Restaurant: the Acropolis within arm's reach
The roof of a restored townhouse hotel
On Mitropoleos Street, a stone's throw from Monastiraki Square, The Dolli occupies a restored building more than a hundred years old, transformed by Grecotel into a hotel with 46 rooms and apartments. Its restaurant is on the fifth floor, on the roof: a glass-enclosed section and a long wooden terrace lined with greenery, with marble tables and white armchairs.
The panorama is the venue's great asset. Directly opposite stand the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike; below lie the Roman Agora and the Tower of the Winds, then the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Hephaestus and Philopappos Hill. At sunset, the rock turns golden above the houses of Plaka.
Seasonal cuisine and Greek cocktails
The menu combines Greek recipes and international inspirations, with the catch of the day in the spotlight. At the bar, the signature cocktails showcase Greek products: the Dolli combines Skinos mastiha liqueur, yuzu and passion fruit, while the Creta features a Cretan tsikoudia. Expect €20 to €29 for a signature cocktail and €22 for a classic. The cellar brings together Greek grape varieties and great wines from around the world, with advice from a sommelier.
Every Thursday, a resident DJ livens up the evening on the roof, alongside a selection of sushi. From May to September, the Maestro Table welcomes a single couple each evening, set apart from the rest.
