Khayma Rooftop: the Generator's roof facing the Sacré-Cœur
A bar perched on the 9th floor
On place du Colonel Fabien, not far from the Canal Saint-Martin, the Generator Paris hostel-hotel hides Khayma Rooftop at its summit. The lift takes you up to the ninth floor, onto a terrace entirely sheltered by a large stretched canopy and lined with planters and a glass balustrade. The bar is not just for guests of the establishment: anyone can head up, with or without a booking.
Montmartre in your sights
Facing the terrace, the Montmartre hill and the white silhouette of the Sacré-Cœur rise above row upon row of Parisian rooftops. On a clear day, you can even make out the towers of La Défense on the horizon. It is at the end of the day, when the sun sets behind the hill, that the place truly comes into its own.
Cocktails, sharing boards and Sunday brunch
Signature cocktails such as the Cucumber Cloud or the Apple Sour cost €12, and the classics €14. Mocktails at €8, draught beers, wine by the glass from €6.50 and sparkling wine round off the menu. To nibble on, choose between a mixed board of cheese and charcuterie, truffle hummus, tapenade or mini tacos, which can be combined in a trio deal. On Sundays, an all-you-can-eat brunch is served from 11am to 3pm, at €30 per person.
The rooftop can be hired for corporate evenings or private parties, for up to 110 guests.
Practical information
Khayma Rooftop is seasonal: it reopens every spring and closes over the winter. In season, it welcomes guests Monday to Saturday from 6pm to 10pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 10pm. Booking online is recommended; for groups of more than ten, requests go through the events team. Minors are admitted if accompanied by an adult. Nearest metro: Colonel Fabien (line 2).
With its affordable prices and its face-to-face view of Montmartre, Khayma Rooftop is a great spot for an aperitif up high in the 10th arrondissement.
