Bar sur le Toit: a garden perched above rue Cadet
The rooftop of a five-star hotel
On rue Cadet, between the Grands Boulevards and Pigalle, the La Fantaisie hotel was designed around plant life, with a large garden planted directly in the ground on the ground floor. Its bar sits at the very top of the building: a room in shades of pink and green, with a long counter, opening onto a terrace. The bar is not just for hotel guests: visitors are welcome, subject to availability.
Flowers, lemon trees and Paris rooftops
The terrace has the feel of a garden: flowers, potted lemon trees, olive trees and fig trees frame the tables. The eye roams over the zinc roofs of the neighbourhood, and the Sacré-Cœur stands out in the distance. It is a lovely spot at sunset, when the atmosphere warms up as the evening goes on.
Seasonal cocktails and small bites to share
The autumn 2026 menu features signature cocktails from €19 to €21, classics made to order at €19, a champagne cocktail at €26 and several alcohol-free creations at €15. To go with your drink, the kitchen sends out small plates to share, such as wasabi tarama, yellowtail sashimi or gyoza.
Practical information
The bar is open daily from 5pm to 1am; tables can be booked online, which the hotel strongly recommends. Address: 24 rue Cadet, Paris 9th arrondissement. Nearest metro: Cadet or Le Peletier (line 7).
An elegant spot for a view from on high without leaving the heart of the 9th.
