Le Toit de La Bellevilloise: a Mediterranean garden above Ménilmontant
A seasonal rooftop on a cultural venue in the 20th
A legendary venue for concerts and parties in eastern Paris, La Bellevilloise opened its roof to the public in 2024, after lengthy works to strengthen the building and install a staircase. Since then, Le Toit has returned every year in spring: 2026 is its third season, from early April until the end of summer. Once the season is over, it closes until the following year.
A leafy terrace facing western Paris
Spread over two levels and around 170 m², the roof terrace welcomes nearly 200 people in a setting with a nomadic, Mediterranean feel: shrubs and potted plants, large jars, second-hand furniture, a fountain and quirky objects. In the foreground rises the bell tower of Notre-Dame-de-la-Croix de Ménilmontant; further away, the Eiffel Tower, the towers of La Défense and the Sacré-Cœur stand out above the rooftops, a spectacle that comes into its own at sunset.
Small plates, cocktails and natural wines
The menu, refreshed every month, focuses on vegetarian or fish tapas and desserts, to nibble alongside a cocktail, a natural wine or a craft beer. Cocktails cost around €12 to €14. The roof also hosts exhibitions and screenings, and can be partly hired for groups of 20 people or more.
Practical information
Open from April to the end of summer, first on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, then every day from May: on weekdays from 5pm to midnight, at weekends from 3pm to midnight (2026 hours, which may vary depending on the weather). No booking needed for a drink; information on 01 46 36 07 07. Access at 19-21 rue Boyer (Paris 20th arrondissement), accessible to people with reduced mobility.
