Roc Seven Biarritz: a double rooftop over the Port-Vieux
The new address on rue du Port-Vieux
Set since spring 2025 in the former premises of Les Baigneuses, Roc Seven Biarritz is part of The Sevener collection, a group whose first hotels were born in the Alps. After several months of renovation, the venue combines a restaurant, a bar and nine sea-view rooms and suites. The restaurant and its terraces welcome hotel guests and passing visitors alike.
Two levels of terraces facing the Atlantic
Roc Seven is laid out over two levels of terraces overlooking the little Port-Vieux beach and its arcades, with a view that stretches all the way to the Rocher de la Vierge. A glass balustrade, parasols, banquettes and colourful cushions make up a décor by Véronique Vidoni, blending Basque heritage and the Mediterranean way of life. When evening comes, the rooftop becomes the place to meet for an aperitif facing the setting sun.
Italian cuisine and DJ sets
The summer 2026 menu offers Italian-inspired sharing dishes: bellota ham arancini, fried artichokes, Arcachon Bay oysters, green hummus and focaccia, homemade pasta, then meat and fish, including a braised lamb shoulder for two or three. Antipasti are around €14 to €19, pasta from €19 to €27. Cocktails with or without alcohol and a wine cellar complete the offer, and in summer the terraces are decked out in Veuve Clicquot colours.
Several evenings a week in season, DJs play deep house sets at sunset, and painting workshops, the Roc'n Paint sessions, set up on the rooftop.
Practical information
The restaurant is open all year round, from breakfast to dinner. In July and August, the rooftop bar is open from 3pm to 11.45pm; out of season, hours are reduced, so it is best to check them. Booking is not compulsory but strongly recommended in summer. High chairs and a baby-changing table are available for families, and pets are welcome. The address: 14 rue du Port-Vieux, just above the beach.
For a lively dinner facing the Port-Vieux, Roc Seven Biarritz brings together sharing plates, music and sunsets over the ocean.
