Aviary occupies the 10th floor of the Montcalm Royal London House, a five-star hotel at 22-25 Finsbury Square, a stone's throw from Moorgate and the City. Across some 560 m², a central bar separates the restaurant from a bar lounge, and the whole space opens onto a vast open-air terrace. The view looks down on Finsbury Square and takes in the skyscrapers of the City. Heated but unsheltered, the terrace stays open all year round until 10pm. When the cold sets in, glass igloos are set up outside for dining in the warm facing the city.

British cooking, brunch and cocktails

Served from breakfast to dinner, the cooking revisits comfort food using seasonal British produce, with a set lunch, an à la carte menu and desserts. The bar offers signature and classic cocktails, premium spirits, wines and sparkling wines, along with bites. At weekends, the Birdsong Brunch focuses on seafood platters and dessert towers to share, with free-flowing drinks, DJs and entertainment; on Sundays, the traditional roast is also on the menu. Several spaces can be hired: the Glass Box, for around thirty people standing, a lounge for around thirty guests, or the entire rooftop, for up to 300 people standing.

Practical information

Aviary opens every day early in the morning, for breakfast, and closes at midnight. Online booking, confirmed afterwards by the team. Smart casual dress: no hoodies and no sportswear. Wheelchair accessible. Getting there: Moorgate tube station, the closest; Liverpool Street and Old Street stations are also a few minutes' walk away.
