Atomium Restaurant: dining in the highest sphere in Brussels

A restaurant at the top of the city's symbol

Built for the 1958 World's Fair on the Heysel plateau in Laeken, the Atomium has become the emblem of Brussels. Its highest sphere, around 95 metres above the ground, houses an independently run panoramic restaurant. Its 120 covers are spread over two levels, the panoramic dining room and a mezzanine, behind windows that open onto the city and its green surroundings. The futuristic decor carries on the spirit of Expo 58.

Regional cooking and cocktails

The menu showcases Belgian specialities and local produce, reinvented with the seasons, with dishes for children up to 12 and high chairs on request. The bar serves classic cocktails, from the mojito to the negroni, as well as a house creation with amaretto, apple and spices. In the afternoon, the tea room is reserved for Atomium visitors.

How to get there

A restaurant booking does not require an entrance ticket for the monument, but it does not give access to the other spheres: to visit them, you need to buy a ticket. At lunchtime, guests are welcomed at the ticket office, and in the evening at the Atomium entrance, with priority for the lifts. From the panorama level, sixteen steps still lead up to the restaurant. Window tables are not guaranteed, but the earliest bookings are given priority. The restaurant can also be hired privately.

Open daily: breakfast from 10am to 11.30am by reservation, lunch from noon to 3pm, dinner from 6.30pm to 9pm (booking essential). Cocktails from €15 to €18. Book online or on +32 2 479 58 50.
