Nubeluz: cocktails and 270-degree views at the Ritz-Carlton NoMad
A glass-walled lounge 150 meters up
You have to make your way through The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, on West 28th Street, and ride up to the 50th floor to discover Nubeluz, conceived as a “light box in the sky.” Green and blue velvet, curvy pink banquettes, a glowing bar: the decor goes all in on glamour, but it's the floor-to-ceiling windows that steal the show. About 150 meters above the street, the view opens up across 270 degrees, with southern Manhattan and One World Trade Center as the focal point. The little mirrored tables pressed up against the glass are the most sought after.
Cocktails with a sense of theater
The cocktail menu is divided into three “neighborhoods,” Uptown, Midtown and Downtown, with creations mostly priced from $26 to $32 and served with a certain flair for showmanship: the Foggy Hill arrives crowned with an aromatic orange and thyme cloud. On the food side, there are refined small bites: a jamón ibérico taco, grilled cheese, oysters, filled cones and caviar service. High tea is served Friday through Sunday, and the bar also hosts jazz nights.
The space is available for private events and also offers bottle service.
