A pool among the towers
The Novotel Miami Brickell is located in the southern part of Brickell, Miami's business district. Its rooftop, on the 12th floor, has been completely redesigned around the pool: a central bar extended by an outdoor barbecue, cabanas, green-striped banquettes, terracotta planters filled with palm trees and a large mural of foliage. The decor draws on the elegance of 1950s Latin America and the Caribbean way of life. From the glass railings, the view runs between Brickell's residential towers all the way to the waters of Biscayne Bay.
Latin cocktails and poolside cuisine
The cocktail list reinvents Latin American classics, from the pisco sour to a tropical take on the michelada, alongside fruity martinis and boozy granitas that change regularly. For nibbles, an all-day menu lines up ceviche, tuna poke, mango and cucumber salad, glazed chicken wings and a burger. The venue also lives to the rhythm of themed nights: on weekends, a Cuban atmosphere takes over the terrace with music and games of dominoes.
Practical information
The bar is open to everyone, every day from 10:30am, until 10pm Sunday through Wednesday and until midnight Thursday through Saturday; reservations can be made online. The pool, however, is reserved for hotel guests and holders of a paid day pass sold online for the day. The dress code is chic casual. The hotel is at 1500 SW 1st Avenue; the Brickell Metrorail station is about a ten-minute walk away.
