LondonHouse Chicago occupies a historic building at the foot of the Michigan Avenue bridge, right on the river. Its rooftop is spread over three levels. On the 21st floor, LH on 21 is an indoor bar and lounge with a fireplace. On the 22nd, the terrace, with its glass railings, offers a sweeping view: the Chicago River and its string of bridges, the corncob towers of Marina City, the Wrigley Building and the facades of the Magnificent Mile. Finally, on the 23rd, the original Beaux-Arts cupola hosts private dinners.

American food with a twist and house cocktails

The all-day menu puts a new spin on American classics with small plates and full entrées: garlic Parmesan chicken wings ($21), beef tenderloin skewers, bulgogi beef bao ($19), a house burger ($24), Korean short ribs or a rib eye. Signature cocktails are all $20, mocktails are $15, and a good Champagne list sets the tone for the evening. On weekends, brunch is served in the indoor lounge.

In winter, the terrace is decked out in lights and hosts heated, enclosed igloos for up to six people, from November 21, 2026, to January 24, 2027, by reservation with a $600 minimum spend. The rest of the year, themed parties, football games on the big screen and a New Year's Eve party keep the place lively.

Practical information

Open daily from 11am to midnight, with the kitchen open until 11pm; brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2:30pm. Online reservations are recommended: the terrace is in high demand when the weather is nice. Valet parking at the hotel. The Red Line's Lake “L” station is about 450 meters away, and Clark/Lake is 550 meters away.
