A rooftop at the end of the Palm
SoBe occupies the 5th floor of W Dubai – The Palm, a hotel set on the West Crescent, the crescent that encircles the fronds of Palm Jumeirah. This lounge opens onto a vast open-air terrace with 360° views: on one side the Arabian Gulf stretching to the horizon, on the other the towers of Dubai Marina and the city's skyline. Facing the open sea, the terrace is especially sought after at sunset.
The décor borrows from South Beach, Miami's Art Deco district: palm trees, colourful banquettes and fire pits to gather around after dark, while the indoor lounge mixes Art Deco touches with street art.
Latin rhythms and cocktails
The menu focuses on Latin American-inspired sharing plates and signature cocktails. Every evening, DJs blend Latin, Afro and international sounds, and the mood gradually shifts from sundowners to a dance party. Sunday to Friday, from 5pm to 8pm, the “Sunset Sessions” offer buy-one-get-one-free on special cocktails. On Wednesdays, from 8pm to 11pm, the “Scandalous” night treats ladies to bubbles, with Latin dance shows.
Practical information
Open Sunday to Thursday 5pm–1am, Friday 5pm–2am and Saturday 4pm–2am. Booking ahead is recommended, especially for sunset, weekends and themed nights; without a reservation, entry depends on availability. Expect around AED 80 for a cocktail.
