A fine dining restaurant on the top floor
Opened in October 2005 on the top floor of The Marmara Pera hotel, on Meşrutiyet Avenue, Mikla ranks among Istanbul's most renowned gastronomic addresses. Chef Mehmet Gürs reinterprets produce from Anatolia and the Aegean with a contemporary eye, earning him a Michelin star and a place in The World's 50 Best rankings. The dining room, glazed on all sides, opens onto a terrace with views of the Galata Tower below, the Golden Horn and its bridges and then, on the opposite shore, the domes of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque all the way to the Sea of Marmara.
The rooftop bar
For just a drink, Mikla's bar occupies the hotel's roof terrace: minimalist furniture, jasmine, an outdoor pool and a DJ in the evening. Its cocktail list plays with local flavours, such as a tequila with green pepper and sour pomegranate or a vodka with pistachio and cucumber, and devotes an entire chapter to martinis. As for wine, the cellar lists some 450 labels, mostly Turkish, around thirty of which are served by the glass.
Menus and booking
In the restaurant, you choose between a three-course à la carte menu (8,500 TL) and a seven-course tasting menu (10,500 TL), served to the whole table. The menu follows the day's deliveries: wholewheat mantı, lionfish, Thracian lamb… Service is not included. Booking is advisable, especially for a table by the windows at sunset; a table is given away if you are more than 30 minutes late. Smart dress required.

Open Monday to Saturday, closed on Sunday: restaurant from 6pm to midnight (last orders at 9:30pm), bar from 6pm to 2am. Signature cocktails at 980 TL, classics at 950 TL.
