Ventuno Skylounge: dinner and a show on the 21st floor
A supper club above the Amstel
South-east of the centre, the Amstelkwartier district has grown up along the Amstel, next to Spaklerweg metro station. The Ruby Emma Hotel occupies a tower there whose 21st floor is home to Ventuno, Italian for “twenty-one”. The venue draws its inspiration from the New York supper clubs of the early 20th century and the great classic Italian restaurants.
Red velvet curtains and banquettes, a graphic floor, a circular bar beneath a crystal chandelier: the décor is theatrical. Beyond the picture windows, the city stretches out in every direction, and the Amsterdam tourist office mentions two outdoor terraces with panoramic views.
Italian cuisine and Wine Room
The menu offers modern Italian cuisine, for sharing, à la carte or as set menus. A Wine Room allows for more secluded dining, and the bar serves cocktails and wines throughout the evening. For a special occasion, you can request a guaranteed table by the windows, flowers, champagne or a birthday dessert.
A show every night
Ventuno puts on entertainment every night of the week: dancers, singers and performers take turns between the tables, and dinner gradually slides into the atmosphere of a late-night bar. The venue also hosts birthdays, private dinners and corporate events.
