Terrasse des Épices: the Atlas as a backdrop
A large terrace in the middle of the souks
Since 2007, Terrasse des Épices has occupied the roof of a building in Souk Cherifia, in the Sidi Abdelaziz district, north of the souks. The whole restaurant is open-air: tables in the sun or in the shade, large covered lounges and small intimate alcoves share the space. The panorama runs across the rooftops of the medina to the Koutoubia minaret and, on clear days, to the peaks of the Atlas. Two floors below, the house pastry shop sells Moroccan sweets to take away or enjoy on the spot.
Moroccan and Mediterranean fusion
The menu blends Marrakech specialities and Mediterranean recipes: briouates, chicken pastilla, lamb tagine makfoul, tanjia marrakchia or sea bass fillet meunière, with starters from 140 to 180 dirhams and main courses from 220 to 320 dirhams. Chocolate pastilla is among the house desserts. The cuisine is halal, with vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.
Champagne and cocktails under the stars
Alcohol is served: the bar offers champagnes and creative cocktails that change every season. DJs and musicians set the pace during service. Misters in summer, heating at every table in winter: the terrace is lively all year round. The venue also welcomes groups and private events, and hosts a New Year's Eve party.
