Arango: roots cooking facing the Monumento a la Revolución
On the 7th floor, on the former roof
On the corner of Avenida de la República and the Plaza de la República, in the colonia Tabacalera, Arango occupies the 7th floor of an Art Deco building, on what was once the roof terrace. The main dining room, with floor-to-ceiling windows, faces the dome of the Monumento a la Revolución; further away stands the Torre Latinoamericana. A terrace extends the dining room towards the city sky, ideal at sunset, and a large mural can be seen from the terrace. The decor plays the Art Deco card: geometric lines, warm materials, large tables.
Contemporary Mexican cuisine
The kitchen reinvents traditional recipes from several regions with modern techniques and local produce. You share tuna tacos on jícama tortillas, a guacamole prepared at the table, plantain bocoles with mole, before an octopus cooked over embers with black pipián, a chamorro confit in pulque or a duck with mole poblano. At weekends, the brunch comes with a bottomless drinks package.
Bar, private lounge and events
The bar serves signature cocktails for an after-work drink. A private lounge hosts intimate dinners and business meetings, and the venue can be booked privately for birthdays, celebrations or corporate events.
