Main Tower Restaurant & Lounge: Frankfurt from 187 metres up

At the top of one of the skyline's emblematic towers

The Main Tower stands on Neue Mainzer Straße, in the heart of the financial district, between the Taunusanlage and the quays of the Main. On the 53rd floor, 187 metres up, the restaurant and the lounge share a single arc-shaped room, lined with a glass façade eight metres high. All the tables are set against the windows: the eye passes from the neighbouring towers to the river, runs on towards the Messeturm and, on a clear day, as far as the hills of the Taunus. There is no terrace; the panoramic platform at the top, at 200 metres, is visited separately with a ticket.

A starred restaurant and an evening lounge

The restaurant, awarded one Michelin star, serves only signature menus of five or six courses in the evening, from €175, lift ride and access to the platform included. From 9pm, the lounge takes over, with club armchairs facing the windows: champagnes, some 800 wines, rare spirits and small plates, with a minimum spend of €30 per person. A glass of champagne costs €23 and a Kir Royal €24. The room can also be hired privately for events of up to 80 people.

Open Tuesday to Saturday: dinner from 6pm to 11pm, lounge from 9pm to 11.30pm; closed on Sunday, Monday, public holidays and during the winter break. Reservation compulsory: online for dinner, with a bank card guarantee, and via the contact form for the lounge. Dress from “smart casual” to “business”. Security check at the tower entrance, wheelchair access possible, no pets, children welcome. S-Bahn Taunusanlage, one stop from the central station, then about ten minutes' walk; no parking for customers, with the Junghofstraße and Goetheplatz public car parks nearby.
