Aqua Kyoto: contemporary Japan above the Champs-Élysées
Aqua's first Paris address
Already well known in Hong Kong, London and New York, the Aqua group opened its first Paris restaurant in September 2025, on the top floor of 26 avenue des Champs-Élysées. The dark, warm dining room plays on black wood, orange velvet and glints of light, with a sushi counter where you can watch the chefs at work.
A terrace for all seasons
The rooftop changes with the weather. On fine days, the summer terrace is open to the sky, with parasols and banquettes; when temperatures drop, it becomes a winter terrace, enclosed by large bay windows and heated. Either way, the Eiffel Tower stands opposite, with the glass roof of the Grand Palais close by and the Arc de Triomphe a little further away.
Sushi, robata and Japanese-inspired cocktails
The menu puts a fresh spin on Japanese cuisine: hand-shaped sushi, scallop crystal sushi, miso-marinated black cod, grilled dishes and plates to share. At the bar, the signature cocktails, most of them at €18, pair spirits with Japanese ingredients such as yuzu, umeshu or sansho pepper, and a short snack menu goes with the aperitif. At weekends, brunch is served from noon to 3pm, and DJ sets liven up some evenings. The private lounge and the terrace can be booked for events.
Practical information
Aqua Kyoto is open all year round, every day from noon to 2am according to the official website; the lunch menu is served Monday to Friday from noon to 2.30pm. Booking is recommended, online or on 01 86 22 35 85. Metro: Franklin D. Roosevelt (lines 1 and 9).
