On the 5th floor of the Hôtel Nelligan

The Hôtel Nelligan houses its rooms behind the stone walls of Rue Saint-Paul Ouest, a few steps from Place d'Armes and Notre-Dame Basilica. Its terrace stretches across the roof, on the 5th floor, partly sheltered by a large canvas awning: wooden tables, cushioned armchairs, banquettes and potted palms. On one side, the eye meets the bell tower of the basilica and the stone façades of the district; on the other, it sweeps towards the quays of the Old Port and the St. Lawrence River. The space has been redesigned, and the hotel itself now presents itself as a renovated address.

Signature cocktails and bistro cuisine

The summer menu gives pride of place to the sea: oysters, poached shrimp, tuna or beef tartare, sea bass ceviche, lobster roll, as well as salads, a burger, filet mignon and charcuterie or cheese boards; a seafood tower and caviar round out the offer. At the bar, most signature cocktails cost $20 and play on fruit and flowers; several creations, including two house sangrias, can also be ordered in a sharing size, and two mocktails are available.

From brunch to DJ nights

The terrace is lively from morning to night: lunch on weekdays, brunch on Saturday and Sunday, dinner every day, and DJ nights at weekends. Smart dress is required: sportswear and beachwear are not accepted on the 5th floor. In summer, the terrace also welcomes groups and events.

Practical information

Seasonal terrace, generally open from mid-May to autumn and closed in winter; check opening dates before you go. In season, it is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 11pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 11pm (brunch from 10.30am to 3pm). Bookings online or on +1 514 788 4021.
