Cityscape: a bar perched on the 46th floor, two blocks from Union Square
The city in 360 degrees
The tower of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square dominates the neighborhood. Its 46th floor is home to Cityscape, a bar and lounge turned entirely toward its big picture windows: the skyscrapers of the Financial District, the rooftops of Nob Hill, the hills on the west side of the city and, on clear days, the Golden Gate Bridge. Fully enclosed and glassed in, the space can be enjoyed in any weather, even when the wind is blowing across the city.
Art Deco goddesses and celestial cocktails
During renovations in the summer of 2024, the team uncovered large Art Deco panels depicting female figures, hidden in the walls. Restored and renamed “the Celestial Sisters,” they inspired the bar's new astronomical theme. The cocktail menu follows suit: the Raspberry Moon with rye whiskey and lychee ($20), the Moonlight Margarita with prickly pear ($23), the Stardust with vodka and passion fruit ($21). Champagnes, California wines, whiskeys and draft beers go with charcuterie and cheese boards, tuna poke or a Dungeness crab roll.
