An oasis above Wilshire Boulevard
The Kimpton Hotel Wilshire sits on the great boulevard that runs across Los Angeles from east to west, a few blocks from Beverly Hills. Its roof, once home to the Roof on Wilshire, has been occupied by Videre since 2023. You get there by taking the hotel elevator to the 6th floor, then a private elevator. Around a pool lined with cabanas, lounge chairs and a patch of lawn, a lounge area is set up by a long outdoor fireplace, facing the Hollywood Hills and the city's buildings. The restaurant's dining room is an extension of the terrace.
From breakfast to dinner
Videre serves Southern California cuisine all day: a croissant sandwich and pancakes in the morning; a miso “Caesar” salad, the Miracle Mile burger or shrimp tacos at lunch; clams with nduja and grilled skewers in the evening. The cocktails, created by a team from West Hollywood's Employees Only bar, lean creative, like the Super Espresso Martini Bros with rye whiskey, Cynar and Parmesan. On Saturday, a DJ plays during brunch from noon to 4pm.
On weekdays, the “Work Drinks” happy hour offers $12 cocktails and discounted small plates. Movie nights take place on the roof on some Mondays, and the space can be booked privately in part or in full.

Open daily from 7am to 11pm, with the kitchen open until 9:30pm. Reservations are recommended, and walk-ins are welcome. Dress is trendy or business casual; you must be 21 or older to sit at the bar or be served alcohol. Card payment only, with a 4% surcharge added to the check; pets are welcome. Valet parking at the hotel. The Wilshire/Fairfax station on the Metro D Line is about 450 meters away.
