Brick: a hanging garden and wood fire above ADNEC
A green terrace on the 12th floor
The Aloft Abu Dhabi belongs to the national exhibition centre complex, ADNEC, in the Capital Centre district, on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. On the 12th floor, its roof is home to Brick, an open-air terrace designed like a garden: pergolas covered in climbing plants, paths of paving stones and lawn, banquettes, large wooden tables and a counter open to the sky. The view stretches over the surrounding districts to the waters of the Gulf, and sunset draws a crowd at aperitif time. In the evening, the city lights take over.
Wood-fired cooking
The kitchen revolves around two wood-fired brick ovens, one burning cedar, the other pecan: pizzas, roast meats and fish, and a fully fledged vegan menu. At the bar, wines, craft beers, pitchers and signature cocktails. The counter, sheltered under an awning and backed by a green wall, also lines up a few stools facing the view. The atmosphere stays relaxed, often set to acoustic concerts, especially at weekends.
