Le Grill: the Michelin-starred table on the roof of the Hôtel de Paris
A panorama from Place du Casino to Italy
Le Grill occupies the eighth floor of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the palace hotel that lines Place du Casino. From the dining room and its balcony, the view sweeps over the turrets of the Casino to take in Port Hercule, the Rock and the Mediterranean, as far as the Italian coast on a clear day. The house's special feature: the roof of the dining room opens completely, so lunch is taken in the sunshine and, on fine evenings, dinner is served under the open sky. The décor, in a deep blue with clean lines, pays tribute to the Mediterranean.
Grilled dishes, seafood and soufflé
Under Dominique Lory, executive chef of the Hôtel de Paris, and chef Julien Lasseaux, the menu celebrates the Riviera: spit-roasted cuts, fish and seafood, seasonal vegetables from the region's producers, farmers and fishermen. Signature dishes include Gulf of Genoa gamberoni, free-range poussin scented with herbs and the unmissable Grand Marnier soufflé. Head sommelier Mathias Negro builds the pairings from the cellars of the Hôtel de Paris. The restaurant holds one Michelin star.
