Salazar: a wooden barn facing the Ángel
The countryside on the 8th floor
A few metres from the Ángel de la Independencia, number 333 on the Paseo de la Reforma hides a surprise: stepping out of the lift on the 8th floor, you enter a kind of barn entirely clad in wood, with exposed beams, large windows and planters of aromatic herbs. The restaurant occupies the roof of the building, which houses a coworking space. A covered section and more exposed tables make up the terrace, from which the golden column of the Ángel rises between the glass towers of Reforma.
Seasonal cuisine with Asian accents
The house champions “country” cooking that follows the seasons. The menu changes often: oysters from Baja California, Caesar toast, chamorro tacos with black mole, adobada wagyu tongue, kampachi tostada with miso, garlic fish of the day, rib eye or roasted vegetables. The bar accompanies the meal with cocktails, wines and beers.
A venue for special occasions
Warm and intimate in the evening, Salazar suits a long lunch as well as a dinner with friends. Allow around 1,000 pesos per person. Ask for a table near the windows to have the Ángel in line of sight.
