At the top of Toranomon Hills

The Andaz hotel occupies the upper floors of the Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, not far from Akasaka, Ginza and Roppongi. Its bar crowns the building on the 52nd floor, around 250 metres above the street. The space is divided between a counter beneath a very high ceiling adorned with works of art, a sofa corner reminiscent of a tea ceremony room and a semi-open terrace, sheltered by a roof. On the bay side, the eye travels towards the Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba; on the other side, the forest of towers in the centre lights up as soon as night falls.

Seasonal cocktails

The mixologists work with seasonal fruit and teas: a Tokyo Mule with darjeeling and homemade ginger beer, a whisky sour with jasmine tea and yuzu, a cocktail with amazake, matcha and yuzu, or a cosmo with gin and rosehip tea. The menu also lines up a fine selection of sake, champagnes and premium spirits, including Japanese whiskies. To go with your drink: truffle fries, karaage, charcuterie or cheese boards, and a few more substantial dishes such as a cheeseburger, a club sandwich or steak frites. Expect ¥2,640 to ¥2,860 for a cocktail.

Open Sunday to Thursday from 5pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 1am. Book online or on +81 3 6830 7739. Prices include tax, with a 15% service charge extra; from March to December, a surcharge of ¥2,200 per person applies on the terrace after 8pm. Entry restricted to over-20s.
