Starlight: the 41st floor of the Okura Tokyo

In Toranomon, the Okura hotel is made up of two buildings; the taller one, the Prestige Tower, houses the Starlight on its 41st and top floor. Here you choose your atmosphere: a seat at the large marble counter beneath geometric light fittings, a table in the lounge as close as possible to the windows, or the chef's table, a private room with a kitchen. Through the windows, the panorama runs over the towers of Toranomon and Minato as far as Shinjuku on one side, and as far as Tokyo Bay on the other. At sunset, the sky turns pink, then the lights of the city take over.

Champagne, cocktails and comfort food

The house serves a champagne from its own cellar, as well as a selection of sakes and Japanese spirits. Classic cocktails (martini, old fashioned, manhattan, mojito…) cost ¥3,000, and house creations such as the Starlight Cosmopolitan with yuzu or the Starlight Fizz with Kyoto gin and umeshu liqueur ¥4,000. On the plate: truffle fries, pasta, wagyu beef sandwiches or Grand Marnier soufflé. At weekends, lunch menus are available, and a seasonal afternoon tea is served in the afternoon.

Practical information

Open on weekdays from 2pm to midnight, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11.30am to midnight. Prices include tax and the 15% service charge; a cover charge applies after 5.30pm, except for hotel guests. From 5pm, entry is restricted to over-20s.
