The Roof: a hanging garden above Ginza
A green roof terrace
Opened in the Ginza district, The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza hotel also welcomes outside visitors to its bars and restaurants. Right at the top, on the 15th floor, The Roof occupies an open-air terrace surrounded by low hedges of ferns, olive trees and potted plants, arranged to preserve privacy without hiding the view. You settle into small rattan lounges strewn with colourful cushions or around long shared tables lit by lanterns. Beyond the foliage, the buildings of Ginza come into view and, in the distance, the illuminated silhouette of Tokyo Tower.
Natural wines, champagne and Japanese cocktails
The menu focuses on natural and orange wines, champagne and seasonal cocktails made with Japanese spirits and ingredients: whisky and oolong tea, gin and sencha tea, sake and hinoki. Two very low-alcohol cocktails complete the offer. On the plate, small Italian-style bites, prepared by the Sophie at EDITION restaurant on the floor below, accompany the drinks.
