Bellovisto: the bar on the 40th floor of the Cerulean Tower

The Cerulean Tower stands south-west of Shibuya station, along Route 246. The Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is located here, and its bar crowns the building on the 40th floor, around 150 metres above the street. The space is divided into several areas: a counter facing the skyscrapers of Shinjuku, a lounge of armchairs and banquettes along the windows, and a private room for groups. Soft lighting, dark wood panelling and large windows leave centre stage to the cityscape, which lights up as night falls.

Japanese whiskies and Shibuya cocktails

The menu gives pride of place to Japanese whiskies, including rare bottlings, to champagnes and to a long list of wines. The signature cocktails tell the story of the neighbourhood: a variation on the negroni with hojicha tea-infused gin smoked with applewood, an orange-scented rye whisky manhattan, or a pink fizz with strawberry and grapefruit. They cost from ¥2,500 to ¥2,700. A few dishes accompany the drinks, and afternoon tea is served at weekends. In the late afternoon, a happy hour offers glasses of champagne at gentle prices.

Practical information

Open Monday to Friday from 4pm to midnight, Saturday from 1.30pm to midnight, Sundays and public holidays from 1.30pm to 11pm. Prices include tax and the 15% service charge; after 7pm, a surcharge of ¥2,000 per person applies at the tables (not at the counter), except for hotel guests.
