A skybar on the 15th floor

The One Forty West tower stands on Senckenberganlage, opposite the Senckenberg natural history museum, between the Westend, Bockenheim and the exhibition grounds. The Meliá Frankfurt City hotel has installed its restaurant and skybar there, on the 15th floor, 85 metres above the ground. The decor plays on natural materials, organic shapes and daylight, with a large pop mural devoted to the city's landmarks.

Behind the picture windows, the view runs on one side to the towers of the banking district and the Messeturm, on the other to the hills of the Taunus. In fine weather, the bar expands onto a panoramic terrace furnished with deckchairs.

Spanish cuisine and signature cocktails

The restaurant reinterprets Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, with seasonal produce and vegetarian and vegan dishes. At the bar, house creations such as the Sky Martini or the Spanischer Negroni cost €18, long drinks and spritzes €16; a house vermouth, German and Spanish wines and a tapas menu complete the offer. On Sundays, a brunch with a view is served from noon to 3pm, and a quick lunch is available on weekdays.

Practical information

Open Tuesday to Thursday from noon to 2pm and from 6pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 1am, Sunday from noon to 3pm for brunch; closed on Monday. The kitchen closes at 10pm. The restaurant can be booked online, the skybar takes no reservations and works according to available seats. Paid underground car park in the hotel. Bockenheimer Warte (U-Bahn) and Festhalle/Messe stations are a few minutes' walk away.
