Otto's Skybar: a 19th floor facing the Rhine

At the top of a tower in the Seestern

The Seestern is an office district of Lörick, on the left bank of the Rhine, not far from the exhibition centre. The Lindner Hotel Düsseldorf Seestern, formerly called the Lindner Congress Hotel, occupies a tower here whose top floor has been redesigned: it was here, on the site of the former office of the founder of the hotel group, a passionate aviation enthusiast, that Otto's Skybar opened.

A golden room and a large terrace

The room, with about 115 seats, stretches out beneath a ceiling of golden slats and a luminous neon sculpture; anti-reflective glazing preserves the view at night. It opens onto a terrace of about 45 seats, with banquettes, parasols and glass balustrades. The eye sweeps over the Rhine and its bridges, the meadows of the left bank and the towers of the city centre; you can also see planes taking off and landing at the nearby airport.

Cocktails, bar food and afterworks

House cocktails cost €14 to €17 (Lady on the Roof, Pinkstar Martini, Caramel Espresso Martini), classics such as the negroni or the gin basil smash €15. The bar food menu ranges from an antipasti plate to a bulgogi burger, a tuna poke bowl or tapas, at roughly €18 to €29. On weekdays, a lunch menu is served from 12pm to 2pm. On the first Wednesday of the month, an afterwork with a DJ enlivens the floor from 7pm, and special evenings mark Halloween and New Year's Eve. The venue can also be hired for events.
