TOO TacTac: a skybar at the top of the Tours Duo
On the 27th floor, above Paris Rive Gauche
In the Paris Rive Gauche district, a few minutes from Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand station, the Tours Duo designed by Jean Nouvel are home to the TOO Hôtel, part of the MGallery collection. At the very top, on the 27th floor, TOO TacTac combines a large glass-walled room conceived by Philippe Starck with a 150 m² terrace edged with glass balustrades. The bar is open to all, with no need to stay at the hotel.
A view that reaches far
From the terrace, the eye passes over the towers of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Seine, stretching all the way to the Montmartre hill and the Sacré-Cœur, while the Eiffel Tower stands out to the west. Late in the day, the city changes colour with the setting sun.
Cocktails, sharing food and lively evenings
Signature cocktails, at €17 or €18, play on fruity, fragrant flavours: guava, pistachio, hibiscus or aloe vera. Two alcohol-free creations are offered at €14. From 6pm to 11pm, the kitchen serves an Asian-accented sharing menu: edamame, gyozas, makis, Angus beef skewers or the TacTac platter for two. In the afternoon, a sweet tea time takes over.
In the evening, the atmosphere steps up a notch with live concerts and DJ sets on Fridays and Saturdays, following a programme published every week. Smart dress is required. Two floors below, the TOO Restaurant, set in a glass cube, completes the offer with a panoramic dining room and a Sunday brunch.
Practical information
TOO TacTac opens daily from 4pm and closes later towards the end of the week. You can go up for a drink without booking; reservations are recommended for dinner. Access by tram T3a (Avenue de France), line 14 and RER C (Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand); there is a paid car park beneath the hotel. The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility and can be hired for up to 250 people.
With its terrace suspended more than 120 metres up and its lively evenings, TOO TacTac is a great spot to rise above it all in the 13th arrondissement.
