Laho Rooftop: sunset 60 metres above the Gare de Lyon
A garden perched on the 17th floor
On rue Van Gogh, between the Gare de Lyon and the Seine, a private lift goes up to the top of the Laho Business Center, a business centre run by Sodexo Live!. On the 17th floor, around 60 metres above the ground, the roof has been laid out as a planted terrace: parasols, garden lounge furniture and beds of grasses and flowers. To keep things comfortable, capacity is limited to 200 people.
Paris in wide angle
The view is the venue's main draw. To the west, the Seine flows beneath its bridges towards the Île de la Cité and the towers of Notre-Dame, with the Eiffel Tower and the skyscrapers of La Défense on the horizon; elsewhere, the rooftops of eastern Paris and the Montmartre hill complete the picture. At golden hour, the sky blazing behind the Eiffel Tower is the most sought-after moment.
Cocktails and sharing boards
All the cocktails on the menu cost €15, with rum, gin or prosecco creations, accompanied by boards and sweet or savoury plates to share, devised with the chef of the Maison de la Recherche. DJs play on Fridays and Saturdays. The rooftop can be hired in whole or in part for corporate events or parties.
