Rooftop Molitor: summer above the pool
A roof terrace overlooking the pool
Closed in 1989 and later reinvented as a hotel, the Molitor swimming pool, a stone's throw from Roland-Garros and the Parc des Princes, now houses a five-star hotel and a spa. Every summer, its roof becomes Rooftop Molitor: a vast terrace of around 500 m² overlooking the outdoor pool and its colourful walkways, with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. The venue is open to the public, not just to hotel guests.
A Mediterranean cruise
For the 2026 season, the rooftop has adopted a sunshine-yellow and azure-blue décor and cooking inspired by southern shores: crispy prawns with basil mayonnaise, burrata and roasted tomatoes, grilled sea bream with finger lime. On Sundays, a Sunday Roast conceived as a big Mediterranean feast replaces the classic brunch, with seafood paella or couscous. Dishes start at around €27.
The bar and its evenings
At the bar, cocktails start at around €18, alongside rosé, champagne and long drinks. Sharing plates, music on the terrace and themed evenings set the rhythm of the season, such as the flamenco night organised for the solar eclipse of 12 August 2026 or the Fête de la Musique.
Practical information
Rooftop Molitor is seasonal: it reopens every spring, in May, and closes in the autumn. In 2026, it opened in mid-May and remains closed from October 2026 to May 2027. In season, the restaurant serves lunch and dinner by reservation, and the bar is open daily from 5pm to 1am. Access is via 6 avenue de la Porte Molitor. The bar can be booked privately for an event.
Between the pool, the Eiffel Tower and the holiday atmosphere, Rooftop Molitor is a summer favourite in western Paris.
