The Mama Shelter Paris West rooftop: pizzas and cocktails on the 8th floor
A roof terrace on the edge of the 15th
On avenue de la Porte de la Plaine, a stone's throw from the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, Mama Shelter Paris West has 207 rooms and two restaurants. The second has gone up in the world: on the 8th floor, a glass-walled dining room opens onto a rooftop with two outdoor areas, complete with a bar, a pizza oven, table football and a ping-pong table. It is open to hotel guests and the public alike.
The rooftops of south-west Paris
From the roof, the eye travels over the trees and buildings of the 15th arrondissement and out towards Greater Paris. Deckchairs, sofas and potted plants invite you to linger, from lunchtime until nightfall.
An Italian-style menu
The kitchen puts Italy in the spotlight, with wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, from €12 for the margherita, and mezze to share. At the bar, the spritz comes in several versions from €10 to €13, signature cocktails range from €10 to €14, and one-litre jugs are perfect for toasting as a group. A list of Italian wines and champagnes completes the offer.
In the afternoon, from 3pm to 6pm, a lighter menu offers pizzas and desserts. DJ sets liven up the venue at weekends, and families are welcome, with a children's menu and high chairs.
Practical information
The 8th-floor restaurant and its rooftop are open all year round, from noon to 11pm Sunday to Wednesday and until midnight Thursday to Saturday. It is best to book a table.
