Taulissa: the Victoria's rooftop, between the roofs of Nice and the Mediterranean
At the top of a five-star hotel in the Carré d'Or
Opened in autumn 2024 on avenue de Suède, a stone's throw from the jardin Albert-Ier and the promenade des Anglais, the Maison Albar – Le Victoria hotel has set aside its sixth and top floor for Taulissa. The venue combines a glazed dining room, an indoor bar in shades of blue and a large terrace sheltered beneath pale sails. The house intends it as a meeting place for the people of Nice as much as for travellers.
From the roof, the view sweeps all the way around the horizon: the city's rooftops and the hills of the hinterland on one side, the sea and the seafront palm trees on the other. At sunset, the terrace becomes one of the most pleasant vantage points in the city centre.
Glenn Viel's southern cooking
The menu is signed by three-star chef Glenn Viel, together with Fred Grava. It favours generous Mediterranean dishes, often for sharing: pot-roasted chicken, confit shoulder of lamb, and whole fish from the tank sold by weight. On the autumn 2026 menu, starters range from €19 to €28 and mains from €24 to €44. The restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide selection, and a children's menu is available.
Inventive cocktails and lounge evenings
At the bar, the house creations take their inspiration from the kitchen, right down to a ratatouille cocktail; signature cocktails start at €21, and revisited classics at €19. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the Rendez-vous Lounge nights mix DJ sets, funk evenings and live singing, and the music programme expands over the summer.
Practical information
The bar is open every day from 9am to midnight. The restaurant serves lunch from noon to 2pm and dinner from 7pm to 9.30pm, with a lunch menu from Monday to Friday. Bookings on 04 22 70 08 04 or online; access is through the hotel, at 6 avenue de Suède.
A spot to remember for dinner or a drink up high, in the heart of Nice and facing the sea.
