Louix Louis: grand bar and restaurant on the 31st floor of the St. Regis
In the heart of the Financial District
The St. Regis hotel occupies a tower on Bay Street, the great artery of Canadian finance, a few blocks from City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. Louix Louis has settled on the 31st floor. The decor evokes the inside of a crystal whisky glass: gilded woodwork, blown-glass chandeliers, a ceiling painted with copper swirls and tall display cases of illuminated bottles. Large windows frame the neighbouring skyscrapers, which you can watch light up as night falls.
A bar, a dining room and a mezzanine
The long bar counter faces velvet banquettes and club armchairs, for a drink before or after dinner. The dining room is spread over two levels, and the mezzanine houses a private room for business dinners, wedding receptions and private events. The menu blends American cuisine and French techniques, with oysters, caviar, fish and meats served with sides to share; the signature dessert is a thirteen-layer chocolate cake. The bar showcases house cocktails and a vast selection of wines and brown spirits.
From breakfast to brunch
The restaurant also serves breakfast and, at the weekend, a generous brunch. It takes part in the city's culinary events, such as Winterlicious in winter, and prepares special menus during the Toronto International Film Festival.
