Harriet's Rooftop: cocktails and sushi above King West
The roof of the 1 Hotel Toronto
The 1 Hotel Toronto occupies the former Thompson hotel, on Wellington Street West, a stone's throw from King Street West. Its roof, on the 16th floor, is home to Harriet's, a bar-lounge decorated with reclaimed wood and sustainable materials. A covered section, with sliding glass walls and a retractable roof, extends the open-air terrace, so it can be enjoyed in every season. The view takes in the downtown towers, with the CN Tower in the line of sight.
Sushi bar and small plates
The Japanese-inspired cuisine is made for sharing: edamame, tempura, bao, salmon tacos, karaage, maki at CA$28-37 and sushi prepared at the open counter. As for drinks, signature cocktails cost CA$22 to CA$26, spritzes CA$20 to CA$22, and a martini bar offers three creations at CA$26, served as a tasting at half price on Tuesdays. Bottle service is also available.
An evening venue
Harriet's opens late in the day: happy hour from Tuesday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm, then DJs and themed nights, such as for Halloween. The venue is reserved for guests aged 19 and over and can be booked privately for receptions, right up to the edge of the rooftop pool.
