Valerie: three floors above Lake Ontario
At the top of Hotel X
Hotel X Toronto is located at Exhibition Place, the lakeside exhibition grounds, near the Princes' Gates, not far from Billy Bishop Airport. Valerie occupies its top three levels, from the 27th to the 29th floor, with a lounge, a restaurant and a rooftop bar. From the picture windows and the terrace on the top level, the view stretches over Lake Ontario on one side and over the downtown towers and the CN Tower on the other.
Japan, jazz and cocktails
The cuisine draws on Japanese traditions: an izakaya menu with edamame, bao, gyoza and fried chicken, maki and sushi rolls, rice and noodle dishes, from around CA$9 to CA$28. Signature cocktails cost CA$20 to CA$22, and revisited classics CA$24 to CA$25. The decor plays on nostalgia, somewhere between jazz, showbiz and magic, and musicians and performers regularly accompany the evenings.
Evenings throughout the week
The programme changes from day to day, from weekend afternoons to Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with special nights for Halloween or Valentine's Day and bottle service. The hotel's rooftop pool is reserved for hotel guests.
