A terrace in a digital arts centre
The Société des arts technologiques (SAT), a Montreal institution for digital and immersive arts, occupies a building on Boulevard Saint-Laurent, between the Quartier des Spectacles and Chinatown. On the 3rd floor, its food space combines a bright room, with a long U-shaped bar, banquettes and a corner set aside for DJs, and a rooftop terrace with an open view over downtown, right next to the Satosphère dome.

In summer, the bar serves microbrewery beers, natural wines and cocktails, with simple dishes to share, such as tartares or charcuterie boards. The season generally kicks off in late May. One distinctive feature: the food space operates as a non-profit organization, and its revenue supports the SAT's artists and researchers.

The roof moves to the rhythm of day parties, DJ sets, "Rooftop Party" nights and pop-up events, sometimes farmers' markets. The atmosphere is relaxed and creative, in keeping with the SAT crowd. Off-season, the indoor space hosts immersive dinners and can be rented for private or corporate events.
